It was one of the most exciting Superbowl’s I’ve ever watched. Hopefully, the Eagles
will get there again next year and win.
On a side note, the numerous miscues and mistakes by the Eagles players and coaches
weren’t the most annoying aspect of this loss. That honor goes to the announcers.
I really wish I lived close enough to Philly to pick up a radio broadcast of the
game (assuming there was one). Those guys make John Madden sound intelligent and
entertaining. Heck, Dennis Miller would have been less irritating. *grumble*

It’s hard to know whether it’s better to lose a hopeless game (I can’t clearly remember Super Bowl XV) or to lose one you could have won. Clearly this one falls into the latter category, and for me, that stings a bit.
On one hand, I feel like all those sports “experts” who said the Eagles had no chance have at least been exposed for what they are; but on the other hand, I’d love to have one of those miscues back. But the good news is, there really should be a next year for this team, so hopefully we’ll see another shot.
And if you’re not already bummed out enough, Eric, there was a local broadcast on radio, so at least some of use had the comfort of hearing the game called by announcers who actually knew the players’ names…
Since I don’t have an emotional attachment to either team, I’ll just say I loved seeing Paul McCartney instead of some crotch-grabbing neo-teen. Even my cat sang along with “Hey, Jude!”
That was a pretty good halftime show, especially after the last couple years of boy band and teenage pop stars — It seemed like Paul McCartney still had something left…
