The description I use for this blog needs to be replaced with something catchier. Do any of my loyal readers have suggestions for a catchy "blurb" with which I might lure additional readers? Here are some good examples.
"Punditry, Parody, Polemics, Politics, Puns from a Papist Perspective" – The Curt Jester
"A former atheist who after spending forty years in the wilderness finds himself with both astonishment and joy a member of the Catholic Church. This blog presents my hopefully humorous and sometimes serious take on things religious, political, and whatever else crosses my mind." – The Curt Jester
"Devoted to the propagation of Evangelical Christianity, and Conservative Politics. These two taboo subjects at the dinner table are mixed into the same meal." – Christian Conservative
"So That No Thought of Mine, No Matter How Stupid, Should Ever Go Unpublished Again!" – Mark Shea
"Various ruminations on Catholicism, satire, esoterica, hagiography, nuttiness, culture, etc." – Saintly Salmagundi
"Theomorph responds to Christianity, religion in general, cultural silliness, and whatever else frustrates him during his sojourn here on spaceship Earth." – Theomorph
Let your imaginations run wild and let me know what you come up with! 🙂

I asked some bloggers to describe my blog and put their responses up on the sidebar. Some weren’t asked, I justed liked them.
There are about 30 that change every time I post.
You could try that. Blog on!
I’m not sure I dig the apellation “shock jock”, but I definitely like “extreme center”. Keep ’em comin’, folks! 🙂
Oh dear. My blurb is a “good example”?
Tempus ignis in quo urimor est.
Time is the fire in which we burn.
Thanks for the suggestion. 🙂 I currently have three reader comments in my sidebar. I’d certainly welcome more. 😉 However, comments aren’t quite what I’m looking for. I’m trying to come up with something to pique curiousity and interest that I can use in description fields when I register this blog with aggregators, ratings services, search engines, etc.
The “extreme center” has a nice ring to it, though I think your Latin line would be more compelling if people actually knew what it meant…
But seriously, how about combining the two — you know, something like this:
“the flaming moderate”
-how’s that?
You mean catchier than:
Tempus ignis in quo urimur est
??
How about “Drunk, horny, barely legal, Asian teens, XXX, XXX, XXX, XXX” translated into Latin? Might increase hits…
But seriously… How about:
Ales Raurus — Shock Jock of the Extreme Center
Cheers
