I’m a sucker for personality profiles, political quizzes, and other similar tests
floating around the Net. I just took a cool test called The
Ethical Philosophy Selector (Thanks to The
Nomad Tavern). It ranks your similarity to famous philosophers and schools of
thought. In that respect, it’s a lot like BeliefNet’s Belief-O-Matic.
Here are my rankings:
1. Aquinas (100%)
2. St. Augustine (98%)
3. Ockham (74%)
4. Kant (72%)
5. John Stuart Mill (59%)
6. Aristotle (57%)
7. Spinoza (55%)
8. Plato (50%)
9. Prescriptivism (49%)
10. Ayn Rand (46%)
11. Jeremy Bentham (44%)
12. Nel Noddings (43%)
13. Jean-Paul Sartre (32%)
14. David Hume (31%)
15. Cynics (29%)
16. Epicureans (24%)
17. Nietzsche (23%)
18. Stoics (22%)
19. Thomas Hobbes (0%)
