A No-Show

I was psyched. I was prepared.

  • Camcorder with charged battery? Check.
  • Camera with charged battery? Check.
  • Flexible mini tripod? Check.
  • LED spotlight? Check.

We got there on time. I got a seat up front without any hassle. I setup the camcorder and spotlight on the tripod, which I wrapped around my left knee so I could operate the camcorder with my left hand. I had the camera ready to be operated by my right hand.

I was ready to watch my first child’s first preschool performance and record it for posterity.

But it didn’t happen as I imagined.

She’s Here!

After narrowly avoiding induction, our little girl has come out of uterine hiding. :)

Hello, beautiful! :)

Lilian Margaret was born 11:30 AM on February 28, 2011, after Mommy labored for only three hours in the hospital and pushed for about ten minutes. She weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and measured 20.5 in long. Had she not come out on her own, induction was scheduled for between 9PM and 12AM; Mommy was relieved to avoid that.

Mommy, Daddy, and Lily are happy, healthy, and expecting to be home on March 2. Alex and Joel are excitedly waiting at home with Mam Mam and Pop Pop.
